"My Darwin 200 year has taken me around the world. I explored the high Andes in Peru, painted a series of bird paintings which were used for the ballet in France, helped to inspire nearly 200 children to paint their own Darwin paintings and of course I have had the most marvelous experiences on my days at the Zoo in Newquay with my easel covered in lemurs and my feet being nibbled by meerkats !

|
Exhibited with the ballet dancers during the "Palais de Cristal" Menton Ballet June 2009 to the music "Symphony in C Mayor" by G. Bizet. Directed by Jérôme Chretien
This special collection was painted for the "Palais de Cristal" ballet in Menton France to form spectacular settings for the dancers to perform against. Each painting is a jewel like 10 x 12 inches in size and features a particular bird and crystal colour. The jewel paintings form part of John Dyer's Darwin 200 residency in the UK. |
