This painting will be exhibited between the 5th July and 20th September at Falmouth Art Gallery. In addition to this the painting will be on display for John Dyer's special exhibition event at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall at 6.30pm to 8.30pm on August 30th 2014.

This painting has been commissioned by Visit Cornwall/Cornwall Council to celebrate the Falmouth - Royal Greenwich Tall Ships Regatta 2014.

This spectacular celebration painting by John Dyer is a key piece for the artist. It will be featured on the official souvenir guide for the regatta and the official limited edition print.

The original painting will be exhibited at the public Falmouth Art Gallery and used as inspiration for a major community arts project The Big Art & Storytelling Tall Ships Project.

The painting will aslo be exhibited at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall.

The painting is also very special as it has inspired five professional writers to write new pieces of work.

These writers include the international best selling author Damian Dibben, the National Theatre playright James Graham, the Hip-Hop Poet Maxwell Golden, writer Paul Farmer and writer and journalist Dea Birkitt.

The painting along with the professional texts form the basis of The Big Art and Storytelling Tall Ships Project.
