For Christmas 2009 the gallery is hung with one of the best selections of original paintings of Cornwall you will find. We have important canvases by all our gallery artists with large John Dyer originals on display, the unique colourist oils by Joanne Short and we have important pieces by Cornwall's leading 'Cornish Impressionist' painter Ted Dyer.
The paintings include two jewel like 12 x 12 inch canvases by Joanne Short featuring St Ives and an amazing nocturne still life looking towards St Michael's Mount and a very festive collection of John Dyer paintings with Christmas trees and snow, all painted with the artists passion for life and love of paint.
We also have 3 new Ted Dyer oils of snow on Gyllyngvase beach due in for the opening night. These new oil paintings really are delightful.
