"The art of John Dyer has the magic to touch lives"

This is an Art Book, a Travel Book, a Picture Book and a mini biography of one of Cornwall's best known artists a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and 'Painter in Residence' for the Eden Project, John Dyer.

This is a fantastic book featuring many of John Dyer's most famous works from around Cornwall and the world. Lavishly illustrated with beautiful colour reproductions and designed by the author Brian Stewart and artist John Dyer. 'A Vision of Paradise' will delight not only fans of John's paintings but everybody who has a passion for life and colour.

JOHN DYER is one of Cornwall's best loved artists. His work is collected internationally and his paintings have been the subject of popular television programmes and a wide range of merchandise.

In this fantastic book many of John's most famous paintings are lavishly illustrated with beautiful colour reproductions. Featuring 'Gateway to Cornwall' on the cover which is a painting commissioned by Falmouth Art Gallery for the Brunel 200 celebrations and supported by a grant from the Heritage Lottery the book explores John's inspirations from his childhood to the present day.

John's amazing story is told through his art which records his life through his paintings. The Coast, The Eclipse, Live 8, The Eden Project, Ellen MacArthur, BBC Children in Need and many more significant Cornish events are featured as well as his Environmental paintings working with Eden from across the globe; the Rice Harvest, The Banana Harvest, The Wetlands of Banrock Station, The Olive Harvest and more.

There is a chapter on John's famous garden paintings and his work with Alan Titchmarsh and Kim Wilde and additional chapters on the Tresco Abbey Garden and The Eden Project.

About the Author
Brian Stewart
Brian Stewart started his career at the fine art auctioneers, Christie's. He is author of a large number of books including The Dictionary of Portrait Painters in Britain, The Shayer Family of Painters, Thomas Sidney Cooper of Canterbury, The Rupert Bear Dossier and The Enid Blyton Dossier. He is currently director of the award winning Falmouth Art Gallery.
