Original
Paintings by Joanne Short
Joanne's approach to painting is refined and uncluttered.
She is concerned with the colour and pattern quality within
her overall compositions. A patchwork of mark making including
stripes, lines and dots combine in harmonious colour groups
within her bold pictures of still lives and landscapes.
Joanne is a member of the acclaimed Newlyn Society of
Artists in Cornwall and has exhibited in Cork Street London,
Italy and leading galleries in the South West. She has
been published worldwide by the Art Group and is one of
Cornwall's best known artists often working outside surrounded
by the landscape.
"They
have that rare quality of being able to transport me to
those magical Cornish places of holiday dreams, magical
light and brilliant flowers. They are optimistic without
being misty-optic"
Alan Titchmarsh MBE
