Dear Diary,
My home town, Falmouth, was running out of food, so me and my six best friends, have set off, on a tall ship, to another part of England, to get some more food.
I woke up in my cabin, at about 5:35am; I was very excited because we were heading back to Falmouth. My cabin was dark red, just like the colour of a fox’s fur, it had bright blue pillows on the floor for me to sleep on. I lay down on the pillows squeezing my head in between them. Then, I started to read my book…
As the beautiful birds swooped past the window, singing their little bird songs, Ely (one of my best friends) cried “LAND AHOY!!” I was very excited, I was jumping with joy! We all ran over to either side of the boat and could see all the different, vibrant lights around the harbour. The bright fireworks reflecting off the boat’s sails were magnificent. Everyone was cheering and yelling “They’re back, they’re back!” As we strode through the water, I could see my brother rushing through the crowds. He had his three pennies in one hand with two big Cornish pasties in the other. He gave one to me as he started to rip out a big juicy bit of meat. We both chewed on the scrumptious delight and watched the rest of the firework display.
