The Fascinating Ships

The salty sea is crashing against the shore men are stomping on the boat’s floor.

Satisfying bird crying, view of the magnificent boats.

The fish and chips are leading the way on a warm sunny day.

Satisfying bird crying, view of the magnificent boats.

Hearing the seagulls song of hunger crying from the boats rudder.

Molly and the tall ship! Tamzyn Oliver 9

Molly and the Tall ship!

One day a tree called Molly had always wanted to be used for something special because she had always been a tree.

One day Molly the tree was cut down by a man with a chainsaw and then taken to a workshop and was carved into a figurehead and wrapped up in a blanket for a year. Then when she woke up she was on a tall ship.

That very day the tall ship race had begun, and Molly’s ship won but a terrible storm hit crashing her against the rocks. Then, the ship sank to the depths of the sea…

‘The Tall Ships’ by Aimee Burley, Age 8 Years

The Tall Ships

Feel the breeze, smell the salty seaweed.

Listen to the dogs wailing because the tall ships are sailing,

Watch the golden beaked seagulls fly over the glistening blue sea.

Mermaids tails the size of whales.

The tall ships tantalizing, tickling like the deep dark sea.

I dive into the salty blue sea like a dolphin.

‘Let’s Have Fun!’ by Tom Whitehorne, Age 8 Years

Let’s Have Fun!

No diving in the sea when sharp rocks below.

Dhani was diving in the sea and splashing me.

Tom was splashing in the sea.
Dhani was diving in the sea and splashing me.
The tall ships are mega big with fish and chips.
Dhani was diving off the ship and splashing me.
I am in the sea to see the bees.

‘The Smells of Fish All Around’ by Chloe Stephens, Age 8 Years

The Smells of Fish All Around

The dog is wailing because the big boats are sailing. A mermaid’s tail the size of a whale. The smells of fish are leading the way on a warm sunny day.

The smells of fish are leading the way, all of the animals are running away.

On a Friday night the ships are full of light.
All of the trees are full of leaves and all of the leaves are making a breeze.

The smells of fish are leading the way, all of the animals are running away

All the tall ships are like a pair of humongous lips. The boats are sailing over the ocean like they’re in a tub of lotion.

The smells of fish are leading the way, all of the animals are running away.

The warm breeze of fish and chips are leading all the way to the tall ships.

Poppy and the flower

Lois the bright red flower redder than all the other flowers. Lois wanted too be something more, something more spectacular! Then he felt a slight breeze on his petal … No, its Poppy running through the grass at top speed. Lois could smell the farmer’s girl’s hot dog. He could feel the wet grass swishing away in the breeze. Poppy stopped and Lois was surprised! She picked Lois up and walked to the Tall ships race as the gargantuan fireworks explode in the sky. Lois and Poppy were best friends and everyday Poppy gave Lois new water.

‘The Gold beaked Seagulls’ by Corey Beard, Age 8 Years

Gold beaked seagulls

The tall ships tantalizing tickling,
The deep dark sea!

The gold beaked seagulls,
elegantly flying,
over the light blue sea.

Mermaids tails the size of a whale,
Families rushing out,
To get a brain-buzzing eye-popping view.

The gold beaked seagulls,
elegantly flying,
Over the light blue sea.

I dive into the salty blue sea like a shark,
Searching for,
his tea.

‘The beautiful, sunny beach’ by Eilwen Deacon, Age 9 Years

The beautiful, sunny beach

The loud, crazy seagulls flew

Over the salty, blue still sea.

Ice cream is like freezing cold ice on a winter’s night.

Fish and chips are like a hot, burning cooker in your mouth.

Ice cream is like freezing, cold ice on a winter’s night.

When the seagulls communicate it’s like they are celebrating in the sky.

‘The Sailing Race’ by Charlie Bray Age 9 Years

The sailing race

Salty sea in the air.

The wide boat pushing through the waves like a flying fish.

Fish and chips in the air.

The waves are gripping the boats like a angry fist.

Excited screeches in the air.

‘Tall Ships’ by Jamie Lorenzo, Age 8 Years

Tall Ships

The ships are sailing as fast as the wind over the salty blue sea.

I dive in the glimmering salty sea like a dolphin searching for his tea!

The seagulls are singing with hunger in the sandy salty sea.

I dive in the glimmering salty sea like a dolphin searching for his tea!

The water is frozen like the North Pole in the icy cold winter.
