TALL SHIPS 2014
\nI woke up on the 25th May,
\nTo see the tall ships arriving in the bay,
\nLifeboats at the front and divers taking a dip,
\nBut there, at the back, sailed the tall ships.
\nSome near the front, some near the back,
\nThe scene was colourful, pigeons were the only things black.
\nThere were beautiful fireworks and people dancing\u2019,
\nThere was shaking of hands and people prancing.
\nPeople were looking down from the deck,
\nAt the tremendous Falmouth shipwreck.
\nThere was more than one, more than ten,
\nEven more than one-hundred women and men,
\nLining up, at the docks, to see the enormous pigeon flock.
\nA few hours later, when the party was over, there was no sound, not a rustle of clover.
\nBut all was not silent; there was one thing to be heard,
\nIt sounded like a bird.
\nLate at night, when everyone was in bed, two seagulls flew overhead.<\/p>\n
