Outbursts of colour
\nInvade the velvet curtain of the sky,
\nHappiness, happiness, happiness,
\nThe Tall Ships are here!
\nLaughter fills the air,
\nBANG, GASP, LAUGHTER, BANG
\nGoes the fireworks,
\nGASP goes the crowd,
\nLAUGHTER spreads across Falmouth.
\nLong masts coming closer, closer, closer,
\nThe Tall Ships are here!
\nI stare at the glowing moon
\nIn the shadowed cloak of the sky,
\nThe fireworks are coming to an end.
\nThe last firework shoots up into the starlit sky,
\nClimbing up,
\nTrying to touch the moon,
\nKnowing that its life coming to an end,
\nBANG,
\nIt explodes all over the treasures of the sky,
\nFloating down to earth and into the calm sea,
\nSIZZLE,
\nIts life ends here,
\nThe Tall Ships come into the harbour
\nAnd everyone goes home to rest
\nNot knowing about the last fireworks life…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
