The best day ever By Lucy age 12

The best day ever
“Hey look a tall ship.”

I rushed out from my little cottage, excitably running towards the docks. The small town of Zedonca was particularly busy this time of year as it was nearly New Year’s Eve. There would be fireworks, bunting and lots of merry people all around singing and laughing. When I got to the dock, massive ships surrounded me, with men all singing weird pirate songs. It was very jolly indeed. A man walked past, pushing me onto the dirty floor. He ran over to a tall and pure white ship. On the ship was a man selling something in red and yellow boxes. I then knew what it was when a man shouted,

“Fireworks for five pounds”.

I rushed over to a small boat, with a man in a green jumper and then I realised it was my dad!!! When I walked over to the small boat it smelled of raw fish. I pulled a face and my dad said,

“Hello Sophia.”

He laughed at the sight of my face.

“That’s your tea tonight.”

My dad must have come home early from his fishing trip. My dad had got me a present. It was a beautiful party hat that I could wear tonight at the big New Year’s Eve party.
When I got home, It was about six. My mum shouted,

“It’s time to party.”

There right in front of me was a massive party. All complete with fireworks, bunting, different foods and plenty more. All I could say was best day ever!!
