‘Tall Ships’ by Daria, Age 8 Years

Telegraphers telegraphing their favourite ships,
All the active sailors on massive boats,
Ladies wearing glossy make up,
Lollipops being licked,
Seal fins are clapping like mad,
Hurry, hurry you should see this,
Imaginative fireworks popping wildly,
Particular people chattering deep into the night,
Sea rustling you can faintly hear it in the distance but it will never end.

‘The Seagull and his Adventure’ by Louie, Age 8 Years

I’m a seagull who swishes over the high tall ships
Hearing the honk of fog horns
Feeling goose-bumpy.

‘The Wonderful Tall Ships’ by Oliver Age 7 Years

The wonderful tall ships are sailing into Falmouth,
All the people are extremely excited,
Little amazing canoes are really fun,
Lights flash flash,
Ships’ sails flap flap,
Horns honk honk,
Ice cream yum yum,
People chat chat,
Sails flap flap.

‘Tall Ships’ by Emma Age 8 years

Tall ships’ flags flap flap,
All the people chatting chat chat,
Lovely blue sea splash splash,
Lots of people laughing ha ha ha,
Shining fireworks shine shine,
Horns of the ship honk honk,
I see the waves crash crash,
People sweeping the decks sweep sweep.

‘Tall Ships’ by Faye Age 8 Years

Tom the cat loves to play,
All the time and every day.
Lively fireworks light up the sky, he
Loves the smell of a creamy fish pie.
Ships are sailing on the sea, and
High winds make the sails break free.
I really want to be a
Pilot on a tall ship.

‘Tall Ships’ by Mia, Age 8 Years

The busy people going by,
All the fireworks very high,
Laughing children in the street,
Lots of people you can meet.
Ships of all different sizes
High and small so tall,
I look into the sea,
Pictures swirl around,
So beautifully on the watery ground.

Tall Ships

Tall Ships, Tall Ships everywhere
Up in the sky and above the land
Tall Ships, Tall Ships everywhere
They’re really old but …
Still in action

‘The Lonely Boat’ by Ellie, Age 9 Years

The Lonely Boat

One day there was a lonely boat who lived by
itself at Falmouth Docks for quite a while.
One day a lady called Daisy, who loved boats,
came and looked at the lonely boat.
A couple of hours later Daisy came back and
bought the lonely boat. She climbed in and put
her hands on the wheel, drove out of the docks.
From then on the lonely boat was the happy
boat!

‘The Fireworks’ by Emmie, Age 9 Years

The Fireworks

One day when Daisy got back from walking her dog Scruff, she wanted to make a picnic for her to watch the fireworks that evening. Daisy had always been very good at making things, especially picnics, she could even remember doing it with her mother when she was little. By the end of the day the picnic was ready, so Daisy started walking up to the fields. As she got near to the top of the hill Daisy started to set out her blanket to sit on and started to eat. In seconds the fireworks started and you could see Tall Ships coming amongst the bursting fireworks. Everything was great. The display went on for ages, Daisy started to fall asleep… BANG!!
